Have you been meaning to learn how to code but have not gotten around to it? Start your 2021 off with us, learning how to code!

We are collaborating with Code Chrysalis to bring you a FREE beginner workshop series to get you started learning how to code.

For the first 3 Sunday nights in January, we will be holding beginner coding workshops to get you started. Just two hours every Sunday night for your first three Sundays of 2021 with us, learning how to code.

This program is for YOU if you have always thought of yourself as non-technical. We hope these workshops will serve as a gentle introduction into learning how to program.

We highly suggest that you attend all 3 of Sunday classes in this series.


The 3-Part Intro to Coding Series


Part 1 Course Contents

  • what is programming?

  • what are programming languages?
  • why can programming be so difficult?
  • what is JavaScript?
  • basic vocabulary: operators, expressions, types
  • how to use the Chrome developer console


What to Prepare

  • You will need a laptop or desktop to follow along with this event. However, we still welcome you to join along and take notes if you do not have access to one of those devices!
  • You will need to download on your computer the Chrome browser (https://www.google.com/chrome/)


This event is in collaboration with Code Chrysalis and will be held online via Zoom. The language used in this event will be English.
