If there is one thing that this pandemic has taught us this past year is that, a sustainable planet is the only way forward. Sagar is 39 years of age with an engineering and MBA background. He has worked in the e-commerce industry for about 8 years.. He is deeply inclined towards animal rights matters and also an Honorary Animal Welfare Officer, from 2019 batch. He works with a think tank helping FSSAI for correct nomenclature for vegan/plant based products and various other initiatives related to the vegan movement. He headed niche footwear e-commerce from inception to eight figure revenues. While doing this, he convinced the management to change the material used for shoes to vegan leather. This solidified his thought process that businesses can help the world change faster. He felt a vegan exclusive market will be of tremendous help, to expand the product availability in corners of India and help the entrepreneurs reach more audience.

Abhirup Das

Oleo

Abhirup is a petroleum engineer by qualification and he has spent almost 3 years in the petroleum sector before doing his MBA from IIM Ahmedabad. Abhirup then worked in the Technology space for 2 more years before venturing out to start his own technology company “Oleo” which helps enterprises adopt sustainable business practices leveraging technology. Oleo is an AI platform which provides Sustainability as a service (SaaS) to enterprises by automating their data collection process to one click disclosure documentation of all environmental, social and governance (ESG) parameters. Oleo as a platform also enables their clients to get personalized consulting from industry experts and reinvention practitioners to inculcate sustainability into business strategy.

Imagine PowerTree Pvt. Ltd.

An entrepreneur who is passionate about solving problems and making a small dent for the well-being of people around.Established an Incubation Centre in PDPU to inculcate startup ecosystem in the state and aid start-ups with all the support needed which was unavailable when Mr Shani wanted to start. PDPU IIC is registered u/s 8 of Companies Act, 2013 and is recognized as a Nodal Institute by the Government of Gujarat and as a Startup India Incubator by DIPP (Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Government of India). Till now, PDPU IIC has worked with 90+ incubates, raised multimillion funds, won many national & international awards and now is a leading incubator in the state of Gujarat. With the same entrepreneurial instinct, Mr Shani started Imagine PowerTree Pvt Ltd in April 2018, a sustainable technology innovation-based company which invents, designs, manufactures and incorporates beautiful, aesthetic yet efficient solar panels in sculptural forms to generate clean electricity. Under the leadership, Imagine PowerTree is able to achieve some extraordinary milestones in such a short span of three years. The company have won more than 10 national and international awards, is employing more than 15 direct and indirect employees and has got a turnover of 5 Crore. Recently, Mr Shani played a pivotal role in the establishment of Technology Business Incubation Centre at PDPU Innovation and Incubation Centre which was inaugurated virtually by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi.
