About this event

#PERTHUP | Startup Grind Perth

On the 19th of February 2020, we will run our second event of the year !!!

We will host Julian Ilich (MD @Tiller Rides) in the beautiful new WeWork office spaces in St. Georges Terrace.

AGENDA:

5:30 PM Check-in & Welcoming Drink

6:00 PM Fireside chat

7:00 PM Networking & Canapè

Julian is the CEO at Tiller Rides

“I searched endlessly for the perfect urban bicycle. When I found something beautiful, the functionality had been lost; if it was highly functional, it gave little consideration to aesthetics. Wondering if it was me, or a wider problem, I began asking other urban riders if they had the same issues - and they did. It was time to create the electric bike we wanted and needed,” Tiller Rides founder Julian Ilich.

Julian Ilich is a devoted urban rider, experienced engineer and sustainability enthusiast who, before Tiller Rides, persevered on his regular bike conditions where others revert to cars. Believing there must be a better way, he focused his mechanical engineering credentials to create the ultimate urban two-wheeler. At Tiller Rides, Julian keeps the cogs turning (quite literally), while also leading the engineering and design teams.

About Tiller Rides

Tiller Rides aims to improve the wellbeing of people, the planet and the community through creating everyday solutions for low cost, low stress, healthy and green urban transport.

This singular goal led to the development of Tiller Rides’ revolutionary electric bike, a solution that incorporates extensive knowledge and experience from the urban riding community into a functional and beautiful, super-bike.

Tiller Rides is based in Western Australia and led by sustainability entrepreneurs Julian Ilich and Ray Glickman. A team of more than 15 designers and engineers have developed the Tiller Ride from ground-up from its Fremantle-based studio, refining every detail to perfection since 2016.

Following extensive testing and development, the first edition Tiller Ride is now available for pre-order, to be manufactured later in 2019. Be one of the first to own this revolutionary Australian innovation.

Designed to Benefit Pockets & the Planet

Tiller Rides spends considerable time prototyping its products to ensure they are built to last and have a minimal negative impact on the environment. At the heart of all new design development is the question; 'What is the net benefit; to people, their pockets, and the planet?'

As a Tiller Ride owner, you would only need to ride your e-bike instead of driving a small car for 1,000kms before you saved enough greenhouse gasses to pay the emissions associated with the entire lifecycle of the ebike.

Do not Lose the Opportunity to Learn How a WA's Company Start to Be Part of The Urban Riding Revolution and Raised Up $1.067 MILLION JUST IN 5 WEEKS during a recent equity crowdfunding campaign.

NETWORKING TIME

After attending the interview with Julian and having had the opportunity to ask him direct questions, there will be a happy hour kindly offered by Startup Grind Perth. Good beers, chill-out music to make the event even more stimulating and to taste local fresh products.

Networking is fundamental for us to develop relationships and stimulate the creativity of our community.

Ideas, job opportunities and maybe your new investor, all in the same place surrounded by a positive atmosphere and with the desire to grow together.
