Tren has worked at Microsoft for the past 15 years. He writes the www.25iq.com blog and is active on Twitter (@TrenGriffin). He often shares his knowledge of company building and trends others may not see. Tren was formerly a partner at Eagle River, a private equity firm controlled by Craig McCaw with investments telecommunications and startups. 

From 1999 to 2001 he was Vice President of Strategy at XO Communications. In 1994 Tren joined a startup named Teledesic as the fourth employee. During its life, the Teledesic team raised over a billion dollars at a valuation that was as high as a $3 billion. Tren previously worked as a consultant in Australia and Korea. He is the author of seven books including: A Dozen Lessons for Entrepreneurs, Charlie Munger: The Complete Investor and The Global Negotiator.
