Stephen Phillips is the CEO of Brisbane-based startup Mawson Robotics, which are building a fleet of robots to protect Australia’s national treasures. Stephen was previously the co-founder and CEO of popular music search company We Are Hunted that was founded in 2009 and was acquired by Twitter in 2012. He worked for Twitter in San Francisco as a software engineer and product designer during the company’s listing on the New York Stock Exchange. Now back in Australia, his new company Mawson Robotics aims to design intelligent machines to grow Australia’s most valuable industries. This will be the first time Stephen will speak publicly about Mawson Robotics.
