About John Perkins

John loves to build web-based applications.  It’s what he has done passionately for over 15 years while living in places like Denver, Colorado and Palo Alto, California.

Prior to Shop X, he has worked as the architect of BedandBreakfast.com, the VP of Engineering at Rentals.com, a Java Evangelist/Product Manager at Oracle, the CTO of Equation Research, and a Co-Founder of Krillion.com.  More recently, he has been consulting with clients such as Impact Telecom, M2S, HotelEngine.com, First Source Funding and Avisian.  His first “real” programming job was at SHL Systemhouse as a GIS software developer, so he is always trying to put a map somewhere.

John has a bachelors degree from Washington and Lee University, and a masters degree from the University of Florida.
