Sally Bradshaw is the owner and operator of the Midtown Reader, an independent general subject bookstore and New York Times bestseller reporting store in Tallahassee, Florida. Before opening the Midtown Reader, she had an extensive career in the political arena that spanned three decades. Bradshaw recently served as senior advisor to former Florida Governor Jeb Bush’s presidential campaign. Bradshaw also served as Chief of Staff to Governor Bush during his tenure as Governor and managed two of Bush’s three runs for Governor.
She has previously served as Transition Director and senior advisor to Florida House Speaker Will Weatherford. Bradshaw also served as a board member for Americans for a Conservative Direction, affiliated with FWD.us, and formed by Mark Zuckerberg to advocate for changes in US immigration policies. She co-chaired the RNC’s “Growth and Opportunity Project”, providing an assessment and review of the 2012 election cycle to GOP leaders along with recommendations for future growth of the national party committee.
Bradshaw has worked as an advisor to Governor Haley Barbour of Mississippi through his political action committee, “Haley Pac”. She also served as a senior advisor to Governor Mitt Romney’s Presidential campaign in 2008. She is a former Political Director for the Republican Party of Florida and Staff Director to the Minority Office in the Florida House of Representatives. And she worked in both the 1992 and 1988 Presidential campaigns of George H. W Bush. Following the President’s election, she worked in the White House as an Associate Director of Political Affairs.
Bradshaw served two terms as a member of the Florida State Board of Education. She is a former Chairman of the Holy Comforter Episcopal School Board of Directors. Bradshaw attends Faith Presbyterian Church where she has served as both a Deacon and an Elder. She resides in Havana, Florida with her husband and their four children.
