Jamie Collins is Professor and University Chair of Strategy, Innovation & Entrepreneurship at University of Canterbury. He provides leadership for several related initiatives to inculcate Innovation throughout the fabric of University of Canterbury programs. He received his Ph.D. from Texas A&M University; he teaches courses in Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management, and Small Business. He has taught at the Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University, University of Dallas, Southwestern University, Sam Houston State University and Texas A&M University. Prior to obtaining his doctorate, Jamie spent several years in private industry. He has previously served as a member of the management team of a private equity group, where he led investment screening and due diligence for the firm. Other prior industry experience includes: aerospace/defense, energy, financial services, and software. He also has extensive investment experience in real estate and agri-business.
Jamie has published numerous journal articles in a wide range of outlets, both academic and practitioner-focused.
