About this event

From traveling the world with Michael Jordan and Patrick Ewing studying the buzz around shoe launches, or driving dramatic sales spikes as the President of Champion Footwear International, Rob Perry has focused his career on harnessing the power of social influencers to set trends and sway the masses.

In 2005, Rob launched an event-based influencer platform, with clients like Unilever and Diageo. Rob garnered national media attention--a front page Los Angeles Times article, New York Times features, and Us Weekly ranked the platform as “2007's hottest”--with much of the media attention focused on celebrity involvement and event attendees (e.g., Britney Spears, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Christina Aguilera, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx, Prince, Derek Jeter, LeBron James and hundreds more).

Rob’s experiences have allowed him to see the power of influential people in creating and selling products. Thus, Xomad, his current venture, was born in 2009 as the first digital influencer marketing firm. Rob realized through his experiences that nothing is more valuable than friend-to-friend endorsements from local tastemakers and their networks. Xomad analyzes data to target pro-consumers and harnesses the power of large volumes of “micro-influencers” to help brands optimize their product offerings and in turn sell products consumers enjoy using. Rob is giving power back to the consumer and revolutionizing the same industry for which he was an early adopter in the first place.
