Dr. Labriola is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois, with an appointment at the University of Illinois. She is also a serial entrepreneur and serves as Chief Executive Officer for InnSight Technology, a biotechnology company. Dr. Labriola has practiced in systems within major academic centers as well as private hospitals. As a uveitis specialist, she routinely performs anterior chamber paracentesis for diagnostic analysis. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Uveitis Society. She started the clinical research program at Carle and has served as principal investigator on over 20 national clinical trials. Her investigator research is funded through the NIH, NSF and private grants. Dr. Labriola has experience in clinical and translational research. She also has a Master of Business Association (MBA) with a focus in Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Marketing. She serves as a consultant to large medical device companies and participates on several advisory boards for novel treatments in ophthalmology.
