About Alan

Alan manages SignalPath’s team of software engineers and all things technical. He has been building web applications for 20 years, and has a special passion in the areas of security and scalability. He managed application development at WebAssign and iContact, and proved instrumental in their strategy formation and growth. Alan gained hands-on experience in a HIPAA environment as a senior engineer at UltraLinq Healthcare Solutions. He holds a BS in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics from Appalachian State University and an MS in Operations Research from NC State. His master’s thesis at NC State investigated techniques for improving the US Army’s ability to predict when its attack helicopters would need preventative maintenance.

Alan is a native of Winston-Salem, NC, and lives in Cary with his wife and 2 children.
