Part Time Event Coordinator

Working closely with our VP, Marketing + Partnerships and lean events team you will learn a significant amount about how to run both small events and large-scale conferences in a growing, fast-paced startup environment.

Events work will include:

Speaker coordination and research, sponsorship/account management, customer/vendor relations, overall/live event production, assisting the Director of events throughout the planning and production of Startup Grind's Annual Global Conference


  • Speaker Coordination – scheduling conference calls, organizing speakers pre-event information/packets, collecting/publishing headshot/bio, creating/sending contracts, tweeting relevant content
  • Sponsor Contracts/Invoices – writing, organizing, tracking information; publishing marketing materials, creating welcome packets, etc
  • Vendor/Event management – researching, tracking, booking, organizing vendor information, budgets, etc. (food/beverage, venue, entertainment, etc)
  • Overall event coordination – Global event administration; director retreat planning and executing, scheduling and accommodations, organizing details

Location:  Applicant needs to be based in the Bay Area, California


  • Must be detail-oriented, self-learner, thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, multi-tasker, social
  • Entry-level position

Startup Grind Europe Conference (June 14 2017)
Startup Grind Australia (September 2017)
Startup Grind Global Conference (February 12-14 2018)
Startup Grind SoCal (LA) Conference (October 2018)
Startup Grind San Francisco & Palo Alto monthly chapter events (twice monthly)
