While at San Jose State University in the late 90's, Chris co-founded NeternalIS, a Silicon Valley Email startup aimed at providing webmail services to University groups and small businesses. While the business was not successful, the webmail interface was in high-demand and ultimately acquired by Rockliffe Inc. Since then, Chris has held Senior Sales and Business Development roles at Kerio Technologies and Samepage.io in Silicon Valley. Having stayed close to the startup scene, Chris' hunger for startups still persisted and he co-founded a business card startup (Freshcard) in 2014 while moving to Cologne, Germany. Freshcard was a short-lived experiment, but it enabled Chris to engage in the Cologne startup scene. He met Fritz at his first Rheinland Pitch event, who shared a desire to bring Startup Grind to the local scene. Fritz introduced Chris to Tim, and the team was formed.
