Neda Morrar is currently the Operations Manager for Startup Grind which was founded in Silicon Valley back in 2010. Startup Grind is the the biggest independent startup community which actively aims to educate, inspire and connect entrepreneurs with each other and globally. It is powered by Google for Entrepreneurs and has helped millions of entrepreneurs find mentors, connect to partners and hires, pursue funding and expand their overall user base globally. In addition to her current work, Neda is passionate about developing and engaging with the growing entrepreneurial community in Palestine and abroad. While acting as the Chapter Director of Startup Grind Palestine for two years (2013-2015), she also volunteered at a Palestinian startup called Yamsafer, an online travel website which enables travelers to book a vast inventory of Middle Eastern hotels online at discounted prices. Yamsafer is the first venture capital round to close in Palestine and is the first Palestinian startup to attract investment by a foreign VC. Neda obtained her Executive MBA in June 2012 from Kellogg Recanati, a joint program with the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland, School of Law and her BA from the University of California at Berkeley. In 2012, she was listed as one of the top 50 female telecom executives in the MENA region. She currently lives in the West Bank town of Ramallah and loves to travel whenever possible.
