About Me

Reuben is a natural entrepreneur who started his first business in his early twenties while attending Michigan State University pursuing a degree in finance. Ever since then, he has been working with entrepreneurs and business owners to advise and catalyze growth. Reuben launched and exited several businesses before the age of 40. Leveraging his 15+ years as a financial advisor, he understands the importance of sound financial strategies and how to mitigate financial risks. As an angel investor, Reuben has stake in a variety of companies and industries such as EdTech, FinTech, Auto&MobilityTech, fashion, travel, and food service. Reuben serves as the Managing Partner of Washington Avenue Advisors and Washington Avenue Ventures, and CFO and board member of Lingco Language Labs, a WA Ventures portfolio company. If Reuben isn't in the office, he's probably above your head flying his plane! Experience Reuben built his first business while in college and grew it to become one of Michigan's largest painting and home maintenance companies in less than 10 years. After exiting, he began working as a financial advisor focusing on wealth management of business owners as he understood their unique situations, problems, and goals. After spending 10 years working through a broker dealer he started his own practice in Lansing, MI. Reuben has always been deeply rooted in the local community, investing in real estate, local business, and donating his time and money to organizations that encourage entrepreneurial development.
