I recently worked as President for DCMN, Inc., a startup marketing agency headquartered in Berlin, Germany with offices in San Francisco, New York, England, France and India. During my years as President we successfully achieved rank among Inc. 5000 Europe's Fastest-Growing Companies and Financial Times 1000 Europes Fastest Growing Companies. I've had the honor of working for many exciting startup companies throughout Europe and in the US, helping them with Sales, Business Development and Growth Marketing. I myself am a serial entrepreneur having started 2 companies of my own in the past, selling my first company at the age of 25 to a California based company, Adconion Media Group, which was later sold to Amobee. I've recently founded a new startup called Brakfast.com, which will cater themed breakfast meal plans to local startup companies and/or tech events in the Minneapolis and St. Paul downtown areas. I also try to find time to stay connected with the tech scene in San Francisco by mentoring for companies like GrowthX Academy, which is a Sales, Growth Marketing and UXD Academy/Accelerator in Silicon Valley. After having lived and worked abroad for the past 14 years in Europe (Germany and Spain) and 4 years in both San Francisco & Boston, I've moved back to my home state of Minnesota, accepting the new role as Director at Startup Grind in St. Paul. I aspire to be an avid voice for local startups and innovators in the area, engaging, connecting and sharing their and my own intriguing stories of success, challenges and sometimes failures. I plan to help innovative startups flourish both nationally and globally, conveying our Mid-Western values, encouraging growth and igniting new ideas of innovation so that the global tech scene knows that we are the true "Vikings of the Midwest"!
