I grew up in sunny Los Angeles and after completing my undergraduate studies traded my beach for the cold winters of Edinburgh and a goal of playing professional football. I played for a few years in the lower leagues and after realising I'd hit my heights as a footballer and that I preferred a more balanced life I moved on from there. High-tech project management and product development ensued including heading up the mobile application development at TheTrainline while attempting to get a few of my own ideas off the ground. Ultimately I came to the decision that a return to studies would help and I earned my MBA at Cambridge. Now, as co-founder of SyndicateRoom, I'm now focused on helping start-ups raise capital through equity crowdfunding while giving investors the opportunity to invest alongside experienced Business Angels. I'm always keen to learn new skills and along the way I've become a data analyst, a certified PRINCE 2 project manager, a six sigma green belt and have experience with SQL and other light weight coding languages (some front-end and some back-end).
