Oscar is an entrepreneur and C-level leader in operations, finance, and technology with experience in high growth, venture-backed technology companies. Oscar is a founding team member, and Chief Operations Officer at 8base, an application development platform, and ecosystem revolutionizing software development to greatly accelerate digital transformation. He's also the producer of the weekly podcast series 8base Radio. Previously, he was Chief Technology Officer at Ilumno International University System, a company helping to change lives in Latin America through digital transformation of university education. Prior to Ilumno, Oscar was Vice President of Operations at CareCloud, a leading healthcare IT software company working to modernize the antiquated healthcare industry with a cloud-based platform. Oscar was also Vice President of Information Technology at Virtustream, a leading-edge cloud technology and services company which was sold to EMC for $1.2 billion. He was also VP of Finance at Terremark (NASDAQ: TMRK) which was sold to Verizon for $1.8 billion. He was also a Director of Finance at Adjoined Consulting, which was acquired by CapGemini. Oscar began his career at Arthur Andersen. Oscar was a speaker at the Blockchain @ FIU Symposium and also a speaker at the Idea Center. Oscar holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida International University and an M.B.A. from Nova Southeastern University. He also has a Masters of International Relations from Troy University. Oscar is active on FIU boards and alumni associations including the College of Business and is also a Top Fundraiser for the annual Multiple Sclerosis Walk in Coral Gables, Florida.
