Startup Grind Bangkok #3: Easy Taxi in Bangkok with Nicky, co-founder and business developer

Founded in Brazil in 2011, Easy Taxi spread over the globe in a timeframe of just 2 years. The application started in Thailand at the end of 2013. With a potential of over 10 million users, Bangkok seemed to be a promising city and a good reason to launch the company in Thailand. The app, which helps users finding a cab and dealing with the infamous “denying taxi driver” problem, is listed first on TechInAsia’s “10 taxi apps you can use across Asia” and is now one of the world’s leading mobile Taxi apps, present in 24 countries.

Nicky Surapaitoon, who co-founded Easy Taxi in Thailand, and is now in charge of business development of the company, will be protagonist of the next edition of Startup Grind Bangkok. The reason why she was invited by us is her interesting and popular personality, her role in the Thai startup community and of course the success of Easy Taxi itself. Her attribute of sociality and the passion about startups and entrepreneurship make her play a big role in the scene, and helps letting the startup family in Bangkok grow. So what makes Nicky the person she is? What background does she have? Why does she work at Easy Taxi? What is her favorite food? These and more questions will be answered at the 3rd edition of Startup Grind Bangkok. Joining is definitely worth it!
