Startup Grind Cincinnati Hosts Rujul, Kevin and Shri (FlightCar)

Monday, 5 August

FlightCar takes cars that patrons would normally pay to park at the airport while traveling, and distributes them to people arriving who are in need of rental cars. This allows renters to get cars for up to 50% off the price that Avis or Hertz would charge, and the rentees get paid up to $10 a day for renting out their car. Yes, that does mean free airport parking.

As with any disruptive startup, FlightCar has received both praise and criticism.  Their concept has taken the industry by storm and, as a result, the company recently expanded from their home base in San Francisco (SFO) to Logan International Airport in Boston.

On Monday, August 5, the FlightCar co-founders, Rujul, Kevin, and Shri, will be at the Brandery for Startup Grind. Rujul dropped out of Harvard, Kevin dropped out of Princeton and Shri dropped out of MIT to jumpstart FlightCar at the Brandery last year. They are all 18 years old.
