Tuesday, 27 August

Fred Dinger's San Antonio-based startup, ENTrigue Surgical, was sold to ArthoCare Corp of Austin for $45 million in early July. But that's not Dinger's first biotech startup. In 2006, he sold OsteoBiologics for $72 million to Smith & Nephew Endoscopy. Dinger is arguably one of San Antonio's most successful biotech entrepreneurs.  He has more than 25 years of experience ranging from product engineering to corporate management. He has served as President and Chief Executive Officer at C2M Medical and OsteoBiologics, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at A-Med Systems, Vice President of Research and Development at Xomed Surgical Products and Linvatec Corporation, and Supervising Engineer in the Space and Strategic Avionics Division at Honeywell.. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and a Master of Science in Engineering Management from University of South Florida. He holds numerous device and method patents as inventor and serves on the Board of Directors for several privately held medical device companies and a faith-based charity.
