Startup Grind scales up in Scotland

We are in the midst of very exciting times here in Scotland for Startup Grind, ramping up activity in our vibrant Edinburgh chapter as well as launching our Glasgow chapter with our first Glasgow event taking place on 17th September. We have added to our team with Hannah Dockery, marketing aficionado, coming on board to help organise and promote our Glasgow events - welcome and thank you so much Hannah!

We're also delighted to have added exciting new event and venue sponsors, with MBM Commercial LLP and Santander joining MBN Solutions Ltd and Codebase on our regular sponsors list. Thanks again and we hugely appreciate the support to our growing community.

Events-wise, at last count we have 6 fantastic upcoming speakers lined up for Edinburgh, including (as just a flavour!) Shaf Rasul, Entrepreneur, Investor, and BBC Online Dragon, Jackie Waring, CEO and Founder of Investing Women, Scotland's first women Angel investment group, and Ian Ritchie, investor, serial entrepreneur, CBE and TED speaker. On 25th August we will host Russell Dalgleish, Serial Entrepreneur, Investor, Speaker and Coach, Managing Director of Exolta Partners and Chairman of WeDo Scotland and We are the Future. Russell is a very inspiring and entertaining speaker and it promises to be a great night - if you haven't already got your ticket, you can sign up here: http://startupgrind.com/event/startup-grind-edinburgh-presents-russell-dalgleish-exolta-capital/

Our inaugural Glasgow event will welcome John McGlynn, Founder and CEO of Airlink Group, Founding Director of the Entrepreneurial Exchange in London, and Investor, and we have more exciting events in pipeline with speaker announcements to follow - so watch this space! We are now on the lookout for a creative and innovative marketing and events specialist (Growth Hacker?!) to help us continue to ramp up and raise our social media and marketing profile in Edinburgh and support event management whilst I "abandon" Phin next month to head to Babson College in Boston with the Saltire Fellowship programme. (I will still be helping out behind the scenes from afar though and at all the events in spirit at least!) If you would be interested to get involved to help with further scaling our Chapter and raising our profile or could recommend anyone, please do get in touch.

So all in all, very exciting times all round for our Scottish Startup Grind chapters. We hope to welcome you along to one of our upcoming events soon!
