David Karandish is the CEO of Answers, the world’s leading Q&A company. Answers generates more than 150 million unique visitors a month with over 180 million registered users. Answers has over 14 billion answers and thrives at the intersection of search and social. A privately held company, Answers is headquartered in St. Louis with offices in New York, Mountain View and Beijing. Answers is backed by TA Associates and Summit Partners. Prior to Answers, Mr. Karandish was the CEO of Expo Group, an online resource in the consumer financial services industry. He also has served as a consultant at MonsterCommerce, where he built its paid advertising management system. While in college, Mr. Karandish embarked on several personal projects, including the invention of AIM Talk, a text-to-voice program for AOL’s Instant Messenger. In addition, he was the youngest contestant on NBC’s The Apprentice: Martha Stewart television show. Mr. Karandish holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a second major in entrepreneurship from Washington University in St. Louis, where he graduated cum laude.
