The next fireside interview in Kalamazoo will be on Tuesday, January 28th with Kevin Romeo, the co-founder and owner of Rhino Media Productions. A Western Michigan University graduate, Kevin founded Rhino Media along with Daniel Martinez and Justin VanFerrari in 2010.
Rhino is known for bringing energy and fun (and no stuffiness) to projects so they can create innovative results for their clients in the form of TV commercials and corporate informational videos. The company's tag line is "an American visual media company creating hand crafted stories outta nothin'".
Recently, he and his crew finished up a 1.5 year project that resulted in the release of The Michigan Beer Film in September 2013 to support beer fans and movie patrons. Shot entirely with Canon DSLRs by the Rhino Media crew, the film is a 2-hour documentary of the Michigan craft beer renaissance which is bringing back "old core values in a new generation of community-conscious consumers".
The documentary consists of interviews with hop growers, brewers, bloggers, and entrepreneurs. With Kalamazoo Beer Week (Jan 11-18) taking place this month, this Startup Grind interview with Kevin is timely.
