Before becoming an investor, Alfred spent nearly a decade at Sun Microsystems and co-founded BEA Systems, where he served as CEO and chairman. BEA became one of the most influential enterprise software companies of its era and was acquired by Oracle for approximately $8.5 billion.
Founders will learn how Alfred evaluates founders, distinguishes conviction from stubbornness, and identifies foundational technology companies early. We will also explore how Silicon Valley has changed since BEA, and where durable value will emerge across the AI stack.
