Enterprising North concludes its Aberdeenshire AI workshop series with a high-energy, skills-focused gathering in Aberdeen bringing founders, creators, students, and ecosystem partners together for a day of practical learning, honest conversations, and meaningful support. This project is proudly funded by the Scottish Government through the Ecosystem Fund, strengthening grassroots entrepreneurship and innovation across the region.

Running from 10:00am to 2:00pm, the event is packed with valuable sessions, so we encourage everyone to arrive on time. Early tea, coffee, and biscuits will be available on arrival, with lunch provided later in the day. To fully participate in the interactive workshops, please bring a laptop.

We begin with “Behind the Build”, a fireside chat featuring startup founders who are actively using AI in their businesses. Expect real, unfiltered stories about experimentation, pivots, product development, and the realities of building with AI in a rapidly evolving environment.

We then move into a Pitch Training Session with Bob Keiller, where participants will learn how to shape, structure, and deliver their ideas with clarity and confidence. This practical, supportive workshop will help founders pitch effectively to funders, partners, and early customers.

Next, attendees will take part in the Practical AI Basics Workshop led by Geoff Todd and Rene Looper. This beginner-friendly session introduces useful prompt-writing techniques, simple automations, and accessible AI-powered workflows that can immediately enhance productivity and support early-stage idea development—no technical background required.

We then shift to a Funding Insights session with Scottish EDGE and other early-stage funders. Learn what funders look for, how to position your idea for support, and what funding pathways are available for emerging founders across Scotland.

Participants will also be introduced to the wider entrepreneurial ecosystem, including Barclays Eagle Labs, Techscaler, Opportunity North East Digital Tech, Business Gateway Aberdeen City & Shire, Enterprising Aberdeenshire, and Aberdeenshire Council, giving them a clear roadmap of ongoing support beyond the event.

We close with extended networking time, allowing founders, mentors, funders, and ecosystem partners to connect, collaborate, and spark new ideas. Travel stipends for eligible participants will be reimbursed, ensuring accessibility for founders across Aberdeenshire.
