Barry Pickard. Travel Consultant at Tailor-Made Itineraries

Having gained my MA in History from Aberdeen University, Barry worked as a Quality Assurance Engineer for twenty or so years, but found himself feeling unfulfilled. It wasn't until 2015, when he started Tailor-Made Itineraries that he found a 'job' that brought him pleasure.

Through Tailor-Made Itineraries, Barry designs customised and bespoke self-guided itineraries for independent travellers. A pivoty over COVID brought collaborations with a number of other travel companies, designing tours for their platforms. These collaborations are increasingly involving tech, apps, AI and even autonomous vehicles.

Peter Syme. Partner at Tourpreneur Travel Community

Peter is a Partner at the Tourpreneur Travel Community, a community-driven tour operator education platform enabling tour operators to create and sustain profitable business models in the hyper-fast-changing world of travel and tourism. Peter has created and sold several tour companies, ranging from local guided rafting experiences to multi-day journeys stretching hundreds of miles. He has helped hundreds of tour operators over the years become more profitable, and runs the Disrupt Travel consultancy.
