If you were to scroll through LinkedIn, you’d think starting a business is easy. “We’re pleased to announce…” “Another successful event…” “So proud to share…” Understandably founders want to share the highs and successes they’ve achieved which are all very worthy - but behind the scenes every good day comes with two difficult ones.
When you have a disagreement with your co-founder and it feels like everything might collapse
When you think a big customer deal is confirmed but then it falls through
When you are up until 4am sending e-mails desperately trying to secure the next wave of funding
When your product testing reveals a mountain of bugs that will take weeks to fix
When you have bills to pay but money hasn’t come through from customers yet
This month, Startup Grind Aberdeen is exploring the often unseen sides of entrepreneurship and looking at challenges, hurdles and failures founders have experienced and what they learnt from them. We will give a platform for founders to share their mistakes to help others without feeling shame or guilt. Every single entrepreneur will have faced a seemingly insurmountable challenge or taken a wrong step along the way - but hearing from other founders can lighten the load.
