In 2015, The World Health Organization (WHO) reported the ratio of doctors to patients in Nigeria as 1:5100. Infrastructural gaps, under-funding, brain-drain and other factors have crippled the Nigerian health sector but in the midst of these chaos, Dr Neto founded Wellahealth to provide affordable micro-health insurance cover for common conditions in Africa starting with malaria in Nigeria, where for just N450 a month, anyone can get access to high quality malaria care conveniently. Wellahealth, was in 2019 selected for and completed the prestigious Techstars accelerator program in the United States of America. A proud husband and father of 3 kids, Dr. Neto is passionate about the power of individuals to effect lasting societal change via entrepreneurship. As we celebrate entrepreneurs across the world during this year's Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW 2019), Dr. Neto Ikpeme will be sharing his story as he focuses on the importance of "Building Partnerships" in entrepreneurship.
