The "New Normal Realities Series" hosts tech founders across the world in a fireside chat to glean insights, especially on the current and future state of the local and global economy due to the Covid19 pandemic. These founders will also share their journey and unique experiences to help Startup Grind achieve its mission of inspiring, educating and connecting tech entrepreneurs. John Oke is a Software Engineer and currently the CEO of Wallets Africa, a company he founded in 2016 which allows people send money, receive money, and make payments using phone numbers around Africa. Wallets gives customers a unique and improved transaction experience, and makes financial services more accessible to the under-banked. John is a 2019 alumni of the prestigious Y Combinator, a Venture Capital & Private Equity company that invests in early stage tech startups. He hold a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from the University of Ilorin Nigeria and his software engineering career spans big corporates such as Wema Bank and Interswitch Group.
