Every year, Startup Grind hosts SG Women’s Month, recognizing incredible female leaders from all over the world. Throughout June, we’ll be hosting events worldwide, bringing together female entrepreneurs and CEOs, startup leaders, and investors who are shaping and funding the future of technology—especially in AI. 

In Amman, we are hosting Dana Al Fayez; Dana is the founder and CEO of Nomad, a pioneering company transforming commercial real estate with its innovative short-term rental model. Dana holds a Master's degree in Business of Architecture from IE University. Dana combines architectural expertise with business acumen to lead a team of professionals revolutionizing retail real estate in Amman and across the region. 

Under her leadership, Nomad provides comprehensive support to property owners, including developing strategic concepts, property activations & events, detailed listings, professional photography, and targeted marketing campaigns. By empowering developers to maximize their assets and enhance their offerings, Dana ensures that Nomad contributes to the overall vibrancy and success of the real estate ecosystem.

As the driving force behind Nomad, Dana is committed to changing the real estate game, fostering innovation, and supporting stakeholders in optimizing their properties. Her leadership has positioned Nomad as a market leader, setting new standards for commercial rentals and revitalizing the commercial landscape.

Under the age of 30, Sima founded three companies and now runs Dezain Space, a platform that supports designers in Jordan. In 2016, Sima started her YouTube channel "MamaSima" sharing her experience as a millennium mother with fun videos and songs. It got more than 80 million views and reached 500,000 subscribers. In 2019 she launched a series of sensory toys for children. Sima was awarded the Cartier Women's Initiative Awards for the Middle East region for her Ekeif project. In 2022, Sima launched the "Mamassima Activities" book series, which consists of five books and contains more than 120 activities accompanied by easy and fun videos. The series uses simple materials available at home to facilitate playing at home and learning through play. Sima also contributed to fundraising for the King Hussein Cancer Center in 2014, where she was a member of the Mount Kilimanjaro Climbing Team. They successfully raised $1.6 million and raised awareness. Although Sima was blinded by snow for 48 hours, she persevered and continued climbing to reach the top with the team.
