womena® is a multi-dimensional media company that accelerates equality through creative content and entrepreneurial experiences. womena® produces creative content focused on female founders, creatives, and changemakers. womena® flagship accelerator program, Womentum, is an experience-based early-stage accelerator for female-led tech startups in the Middle East and aims to increase the pipeline of women entrepreneurs in the regional ecosystem. The accelerator is documented through our media platform and produced into a docu-series called Womentum. womena® Bossladies Network has the largest number of female entrepreneurs and investors in the Middle East. All of these elements come together to make womena the leading ecosystem enabler for diversity and inclusion in MENA. Founded in 2014, womena® has built an award-winning angel investment group that facilitated over 3 million AED in funding into 10 companies. The goal of womena® is more women in business, more women investors, and a more inclusive, diverse, and consequently booming ecosystem.

Habiba Helmy is currently heading Womentum, the MENA region’s first acceleration program focused on women-led tech startups. Prior to that, Habiba headed the non-financial arm of EGBANKS’s youth banking platform, MINT, as the Hub Director. Prior to that, Habiba acquired her MSc. Degree in Management from the University of Bristol, UK, where she focused her dissertation on women entrepreneurs in Egypt.
Before leaving Egypt for her master’s degree, Habiba served as an Entrepreneur Selection and Growth Manager at Endeavor Egypt, a non-profit organization focused on developing the economy through supporting and strengthening high-impact entrepreneurs. During her time at Endeavor, she managed a portfolio of 9 multi-million dollar SMEs where she helped grow these companies.
Habiba also served as the Country Lead in Egypt at MIT Enterprise Forum (MITEF) Pan Arab, a non-profit affiliated with MIT University with the mission to develop and nurture a culture of entrepreneurship across the Arab region. During her time at MITEF Pan Arab, Habiba organized the MITEF Arab Startup Competition in Cairo, the biggest startup across the MENA region, and established a network of partners within the entrepreneurship ecosystem and beyond.
Prior to joining MITEF Pan Arab, Habiba briefly worked with the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Program (EIP) at the American University in Cairo (AUC) on organizing boot camps for entrepreneurs in early-stage startups and the launch of the AUC Venture Lab.
Habiba graduated from AUC where she double majored in Communication & Media Arts and Psychology.
