Our upcoming event will feature two fireside chats hosting Christopher Dix, Investment Partner at BECO Capital and former Managing Director at J.P. Morgan, and Romain Assunção, Partner at Antler in MENAP and former executive at McKinsey & Company, Amazon, Rocket Internet, Jumia, and L'Oreal.

Christopher is currently an Investment Partner at BECO Capital; Chris previously spent over a decade across Investment Banking and Capital Markets at J.P. Morgan in London. Prior to this, Chris specialized in TMT Corporate Finance, playing a pivotal role in mission-critical M&A, corporate strategy, and capital raising/financings for his global clients. Chris then spent a number of years at the global VC firm Antler, one of the most active early-stage VC investors in the world, as Global Capital Director and Head of MENAP. Chris was educated at Eton and Oxford University and holds a Master’s degree in Astrophysics.

Christopher's fireside chat will be moderated by Hala Ebrahim.

Hala is an Investment Director at Antler in MENAP. She has over 16 years of experience in program management, strategic comms, and business consulting, having worked with a range of startups, investors, and government entities in the MENA region. Most recently, Hala worked at Brinc, where she led the expansion and program setup with regional entities such as NEOM, Omantel, and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Innovation Fund.

Romain is a Partner at Antler in MENAP. He has also served as an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company, where he notably helped governments in MENAP foster startup and tech ecosystems. Prior to that, he focused on go-to-market functions within Amazon, Rocket Internet, Jumia, and L'Oreal. Romain holds an MBA from London Business School and is a member of the Tomouh Community of Leaders.
