We're proud to announce the launch of the Startup Grind Amsterdam Chapter and our very first event! Startup Grind is a global startup community designed to educate, inspire, and connect entrepreneurs.

We'll be hosting a series of Founder Stories every month in Amsterdam - fireside chats where we'll interview a successful Amsterdam-based Founder and get them to share their honest story of how the started up and what they learned on the journey.

Our first Startup Grind Amsterdam event guest is local Founder Martijn de Kuijper. Martijn founded his first company 9 years ago and later sold it, then was one of the first Dutch startups to participate in Techstars in the US, with his second venture Fosbury, which was also acquired.

In 2015 Martijn successfully launched the beautifully simple newsletter service Revue, one of his side projects, on Product Hunt. Two years later the company has raised capital, has many influencers using it and grown significantly and continues to do so: https://www.getrevue.co

On top of all this Martijn is also a young dad and an all-round great guy! He's going to share his story, talk startups in general 0 the ups and downs, the struggle, acquisitions (how, why, culture), Techstars, why the #givefirst mentality works, being a father and a founder & more.
