In the 2018-2019 edition of Startupper of the Year by TOTAL company, TOTAL Eritrea, in collaboration with local associations of Innovation and Entrepreneurship organized the biggest ever Startup Competition in Eritrea. This event brought more than 100 startup ideas and showcased the Eritrean Youth Creativity and innovation potential.

In this fireside chat, Mr. Daniel Kiflay, Digital, Innovation and Communication Officer, from TOTAL Eritrea, will talk about the potential of Eritrean startups as experienced in the Startupper of the Year 2018-2019 Competition in relation to global startups.

He will also talk about what innovation means to TOTAL and how innovative principle is applied in the TOTAL Company as an experience to local startups, enterprises and institutions.

This event is made possible by the indispensable collaboration of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Mainefhi, College of Engineering and Technology, which is conducted as a seminar series under the theme, Entrepreneurship Education for Engineers and Scientists targeted to senior students and instructors of the Colleges of Engineering and Science, Mainefhi and invited audiences.
