We're back in Gijón with an expert and enthusiastic speaker. In this occasion, our guest is Jesus Monleon founder of SeedRocket accelerator.
Jesús has more than 20 years of experience in tech business and he's probably one of the entrepreneurs than better knows and understands the startup ecosystem in Spain. We'll talk with him about his life as an entrepreneur and business development specialist, trying to gather as much knowledge as possible on building a sales team, launching companies and investing in early-stage startups.
SeedRocket is one of the leading accelerators for early-stage tech startups in Spain offering training, mentoring and co-working space, and sharing know-how in order to boost synergies between entrepreneurs and mentors. Since 2015, as a Partner of Google for Startups, SeedRocket is in charge of the startup accelerator at Campus Madrid. Moreover, it offers a great network of investors and Business Angels. For the last 10 years, SeedRocket has analyzed more than 3600 tech startups, accelerated more than 95 that have raised 65 million Euros in funding.
We’ll also have OkTicket as a guest startup. OkTicket is an application that is approved by the Tax Agency to manage tickets and invoices, which allows, among other functions, to optimize the process of reporting and managing company expenses, as well as not having to keep paper files. Recently, has received many awards: First Google Launchpad Asturias to the most promising company and the II Venture on the Road Asturias.

Jesús began his professional career as a merger and acquisitions analyst at Alpha Corporate, but soon embarked on his first project as an entrepreneur. In 2000 he founded emagister and became its CEO until he joined Intercom group.
For seven years, he was Investment Associate at Caixa Capital Risc, participating first in large operations such as the Panrico or Caprabo investments, to finally join Caixa Capital Semilla, a venture capital dedicated to financing early stage startups. After leaving venture capital, he spent time helping companies like Abiquo o Trovit in their business development.
In 2008 he founded SeedRocket with Vicente Arias, a non-profit association formed by renowned internet professionals in Spain, who share the common goal of promoting the use of new technologies, dedicating their time and knowledge to new promising startups.
Two years later, in 2010, he founded, together with Vicente Arias and Sacha Fuentes, Offerum, an ecommerce of leisure and travel coupons that had more than 100 employees and was one of the four strongest coupon market players in Spain.
In 2017, he founded SeedRocket 4Founders Capital, an investment fund of 12 million Euros, together with Marek Fodor, Marc Badosa and Javier Pérez-Tenessa.
In addition, he is one of the most active business angels in Spain with more than 35 investments like Captio, Tiendeo, Redbooth, Mailtrack, Uncomo, Coverfy, Tripuniq, Woom, Instamaki, Tviso, Tenvinilo o Cuidum
