Alexia is is the founder of GirlBoss NZ, an organisation which encourages young women to embrace STEM, Leadership and Entrepreneurship. Her passion for future-focused education is why she was named a Top 30 Global Teen Leader, a Top 5 Young Leader by the Ministry of Youth Development, and the most influential New Zealand woman under the age of 25 at the 2016 Westpac Women of Influence Awards.

We're excited to be joined by Alexia Hilbertidou at our next fireside chat. 

Alexia is is the founder of GirlBoss NZ, an organisation which encourages young women to embrace STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths), Leadership and Entrepreneurship. GirlBoss is New Zealand’s second largest women's network with nearly 8000 members. Alexia is passionate about promoting the exciting opportunities and challenging the stereotypes in entrepreneurship and STEM fields.

On top of her awesome work with GirlBoss, Alexia was also selected by NASA to play a part in the NASA Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA) 2017 Southern Deployment.

We'll be discussing how Alexia got started, her involvement with NASA, her vision for GirlBoss and how at age 18 she has managed to accomplish a huge amount and what's next.
