Richard is a seasoned entrepreneur, investor and senior executive with a passion for Start Up businesses. He's currently the Chief Operating Officer at PredictHQ and the Chief Investment Officer at StartMesh, a global technology venture catalyst supporting the commercialisation of start-ups post the idea validation stage through to sustainable profitability or a liquidity event. 

Richard jumped into the Start-up scene when he joined ReachLocal’s first international operation in Australia. After establishing Go-To Market strategies and working with the Executive team and Venture capitalist to grow the business, Richard moved to the U.K. to help ReachLocal open another international market. As the Country Director for ReachLocal UK, Richard led 160+ employees to become, the fastest growing country subsidiary for ReachLocal Inc., a NASDAQ listed company. Richard was then transferred to the West Coast of America to transform the ailing performance of ReachLocal’s West Coast operations.

Richard went on to Invest into a Food Delivery business in the UK (Fresh Fitness Food) and co-found a global digital agency called The Urban Collective Media Group.

In 2015, Richard and his young family relocated to his home country of New Zealand where he took up a role in a Private Investment Group to drive investment and divestment opportunities as well as strategic partnerships for the 6 business assets in the portfolio. Richard led the Pan Asia M&A and capital raising efforts for one of the assets and assisted to establish a base in Singapore for the group.
