Car was Marc’s first word. According to his mom, he was calling out makes and models before he could see over the dashboard, and his wife says his eye only wanders when chrome is involved.
While Marc obsessed about classic cars as a kid, he got his first taste of the EV world upon entering Cornell University and joining their hybrid electric vehicle team. After graduation, he began his adult life the way he thought you were supposed to -- getting various engineering and management positions by day and continuing to restore and work on cars on nights and weekends.
As a tech employee in Austin at the turn of the century, Marc saw the city’s growth as a tech hub and transitioned from engineer to tech recruiter, starting and growing Hirestarter, one of Austin’s most prestigious high tech recruiting firms over the course of 15 years, all while building and customizing cars and researching automotive innovation on the side.
In 2016, Marc handed over the wheel of Hirestarter and decided to focus on his passion full time, following his dream to create Moment Motor Company. Marc and his small team of engineers, machinists, fabricators and product specialists transform vintage head-turners into modern electric cars, giving customers all the thrill of driving a beautiful classic with none of the hassle of their decades-old drivetrains.
