It wasn’t Nick's absolute aim (though it turned out that way!), but rather the seeding of the desire to have the ability to work remotely that led Nick to change his business; to outsource key roles and responsibilities, at once saving money and hassles, and providing the platform for the great escape! Nick’s businesses include his global dining ware brand SteakStones, where he designs innovative products for the commercial and consumer markets. Whilst the products are innately physical, using some of nature’s strongest, most sustainable materials, including Lava and Bamboo, the channels for marketing and selling have become predominantly digital. Nick is a firm believer in the incredible opportunities that digital now gives entrepreneurs. From launching concepts through the likes of Kickstarter and Indiegogo, there really is no barrier to getting whatever you want off the ground. Move quickly, move cleverly, move globally, the only thing that will stop you is a lack of action! Nick’s story isn’t one of unbridled success, but the real opportunities and challenges of running an expanding, global business in a time where there are unrivalled possibilities which in themselves bring the often immediate challenges of copycats and competition. And it’s not just his story, but how he’s moved his life, wife and 50% of his children to Bali aswell! If you’ve got an idea in play or in design, Nick hopes his journey could be one that inspires you and his experiences could be something to excite you. He will also be unveiling a new venture on the night that will benefit anyone involved in the World of entrepreneurialism in Bali.
