Michaelangelo’s journey in his design career began by moving to San Francisco, CA to earn a second Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Academy of Art University’s School of Web Design + New Media. Michaelangelo earned his first degree in 2003 in Boston University’s School of Management with the concentration of Marketing and Finance, earning him the professionalism and entrepreneurial skills that sets him apart from his peers in the Academy of Art.
Along with high-school friend Nadiem Makarim, he co-founded and is Brand Director of GO-JEK, one of the biggest business success stories and the first billion dollar company to come out of Indonesia. The leading mobile app tech company provides transport, courier, shopping, food delivery and other services in 14 cities. “GO-JEK, as you know, is Indonesia’s revolution, and it’s amazing to be part of something that is clearly changing the nation,” says Moran.
In addition, Moran, who earned a degree in Business Management from Boston University in 2003 and Digital Design degree from Academy of Art in San Francisco in 2010, has co-founded Semua Properties Bali, which he calls “an end-to-end solution” for real estate, and also Arc MediSpa in Kemang, Jakarta, a beauty aesthetic and wellness company that provides non-surgical treatments. He somehow also finds time to be one of Indonesia’s leading DJs. “DJ Mikey” performs internationally as well as in Jakarta and Bali.
Finally, he has recently co-founded Bali Praia, which is the first creative space for musicians, DJs, and artists as well as a record label based in Bali.

He earned a degree in Business Management from Boston University in 2003 and Web Design + New Media from Academy of Art University in 2010. His professional career started as a Operations Manager in Hugo Boss, Indonesia and also working in event management company Martini Link Communications for clients such as Lucky Strike, Dunhill Cigarettes, Prestige Magazine, DestinAsian Magazine and many other product launches. Since then, he has co-founded and is the Brand Director for GO-JEK Indonesia - the first unicorn leading mobile app tech company in Indonesia for formalizing the motorcycle taxi industry to provide transport, courier, shopping, food delivery and many other services across 50 cities across the country.
He has also co-founded Semua Properties in Bali, which is an end to end solution for renting villas and building property in the beautiful island of Bali, Indonesia. In 2014, he co-founded Arc MediSpa in Kemang, Jakarta which is a beauty aesthetic and wellness company that provides the best and most advanced non-surgical treatments for face and body. Finally, he has recently co-founded Bali Praia, which is the first creative space for musicians, DJs, and artists as well as a record label based in Bali. He is also Indonesia’s leading DJs performing internationally around Asia and nationally mainly in Jakarta and Bali.
“What I’ve learned about myself is that we are all human. I’ve been through a lot of big ups and big downs, but you have to remember to take care of yourself and not push the limits. I have also learned that being successful has its perks, but you will only feel complete if you are happy at the end of it.”
