Well-known around the office for randomly busting out in song (and it could be anything from show tunes to Beyonce to Motley Crue and it may also occur while a client meeting is taking place), Todd oversees all aspects of Mission and acts as Creative Director.
As an alumnus of Baltimore School for the Arts and MICA, Todd’s early love affair with painting and sculpture and all things art-ish landed him with a truly home-grown degree in Fine Arts and a minor in Art History. After graduating, he was fortunate enough to hone this obsession with a small set-design firm whose productions were featured worldwide, and for the Smithsonian Institute as a graphic designer and multimedia specialist.
Then along came Mission…a scrappy little start-up “creative agency” – cofounded with business partner, Joe Loverde, in 2000 – that had the lofty goal of being a boutique Internet and marketing firm where clients came first. Fast-forward to now and Todd still maintains a personal relationship with Mission’s clients (even though the scrappy little creative agency is now a Digital and Design firm with a fine-tuned collection of talented hooligans!).
As a current board member of MAP (Maryland Art Place) and BSA (Baltimore School for the Arts), Todd relishes the opportunity to engage with both the up-and-coming newbies and the burgeoning artisans of the local Arts Community in Baltimore.
So what does the team at Mission think of him? When asked to give a one-word description, it was revealed Todd is visionary, determined, goofy, gregarious, colorful, positive, charismatic, optimistic, happy, animated and…fizzy. Yes, fizzy. (Editor’s note: Upon further thought, we definitely think fizzy is apropos.)
And if he wasn’t the Creative Director of Mission? Todd would be a carpenter…the time-honored, classic, centuries-old profession. But with a giant air-conditioned wood shop. Where he gets to use lots of big, powerful tools all day and create a lot of sawdust and mess. Oh, and it should also have a central vacuum system. And don't forget a big screen TV suspended in the corner for Ravens' games.
