Typhoon, SCB 10X’s open-source initiative building Thai-first large language models, is now expanding into audio with its new Thai audio LLM. Leading its adoption efforts is Oravee Smithiphol, a startup ecosystem builder with over a decade of experience in Thailand’s innovation scene.
Typhoon, developed by SCB 10X’s R&D division, is an open-source initiative advancing Thai-first large language models, datasets, and tools to strengthen Thailand’s AI ecosystem. With the launch of its new Thai audio LLM, Typhoon is taking a major step into multimodal innovation. Driving adoption and ecosystem engagement is Oravee Smithiphol, who has spent more than ten years building Thailand’s startup community. A former co-founder in online media and education, she brings expertise in go-to-market strategy, inbound marketing, and community building to empower Thai innovators to embrace and apply next-generation AI.
