Malik Khan is a native of The Gambia, the smallest country in Africa. He migrated to the US in 1992 at the age of 14 with his mother, older sister and step brother in pursuit of the American Dream. Malik grew up in Atlanta, Georgia where he completed high school and studied at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He has over twenty years of experience in the IT Managed Services, Cloud Hosting and IT Consulting Industry. In 2007, Malik founded PointClick Technologies to focus on end to end cloud hosting services that spans beyond Infrastructure Management. The company offers cloud hosting and web application management services with a focus on Cyber Security, High Availability, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.
Today, PointClick has grown to hosting and managing many well-known brands and organizations such as the NFL, Autotrader.com, Under Armor, American Red Cross, Precision Tune Auto Care and more.
Malik is a serial entrepreneur with investments in Real Estate, Early Stage Startups, and an Angel Investor in tech companies. When he is not busy with business dealings, Malik spends his time giving back to his community. His company created an Adult Internship program for the Senegambian community to help boost skills to improve economic development within the community. The program offers training and development of skills in technical and non-technical positions. In early 2017, Malik initiated a Scholarship program to help send Senegambian High School graduates to college. Along with the scholarships comes one on one mentoring sessions with the students to help them with life development skills and learn about entrepreneurship.
Malik resides in Durham, NC with his wife of 18 years, a 15-year-old son and 2 beautiful daughters ages 10 and 8.
Malik is an occasional sort after speaker at industry trade shows such as Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference/Inspire, Microsoft Hosting Summit and DNN Software Conference (DNNCon).
