She was the Executive Vice President, Chief Financial + Operating Officer for Carolina Small Business Development Fund (CSBDF), managing their social impact investment portfolio.
She has over 20 years of working in the financial, nonprofit, management, and innovative entrepreneurial ecosystem. Ida Ceesay-Ndiaye is a consultant and the Proprietress of Gemini Consulting.
Prior to moving to Senegal a year ago Ida has been a Multi-site property manager for 12 years and specializes in distressed properties, takeovers and new acquisitions.
Ida also does training on property management, strategic management, costumer service, project management, compliance and marketing. She also organized the first Real Estate Expo in The Gambia last year and is working on the second one in February.
She holds a Bachelor in Business Administration and a minor in marketing. She also hold a Masters in Public Administration both from Strayer University in Raleigh,NC. Ida is currently pursuing a project management certification (PMP) from PMI institute.
Ida is a cancer survivor and advocate. She is also the founder of Fighting Against Cancer in Africa(FACIA) and the Vice Chairperson for The Cancer Associations League The Gambia. The league focuses of education, early detection and raising breast cancer awareness among women in rural Gambia and Senegal. We recently held a month long cancer awareness activities which included a cancer walk and a weekend of free screening, testing and sensitization for breast and cervical cancer in The Gambia.
Poncelet O. Ileleji is a computer Scientist by Profession with 23 years in the field; he has been involved with the use of ICT as a tool for sustainable development both as a lecturer, researcher and consultant for the Gambia YMCAs, where he is the coordinator of the computer training centre and digital studio. He has also served as consultant for several projects in Africa covering ICT for D, Learning, Technologies and Education, Internet Governance and Health Informatics. He served also as an International Coordinator for the International YMCA of New York, International Camp Counselor Program. Poncelet served as the country coordinator for the World Links program in the Gambia during the program life cycle in The Gambia from 2001 to 2005, The program was funded and initiated by the World Bank and it adopted a constructivist approach to teaching with ICT that emphasized a shift away from teacher centered lecture-based instruction towards student-centered, project-based learning during the program life cycle from 2001 to 2005 in the Gambia.
