Este mes nos unimos al programa global “Black Leaders Month”. Queremos reconocer el trabajo y la experiencia de líderes dentro de la comunidad afro en orden de amplificar sus voces y hacerlas oír. Con el apoyo de Google for Startups, estamos generando conversación alrededor del tema y estamos contentos de tener a Sher Herrera como guest speaker.
Sher es una samaria de 27 años con estudios en Comunicación Social y Periodismo, además es maestrante en Estudios Afrocolombianos de la Universidad Javeriana. Desde hace siete años comenzó el proceso de emprender con Nuba Natural y Artesanal, donde incorporó saberes tradicionales y académicos para contar historias sobre su experiencia de vida como mujer negra.
Hoy día tanto Nuba Natural y Artesanal como la propia Sher, son marcas reconocidas en la región por poner sobre la mesa conversaciones actuales y necesarias como la urgencia de descolonizar los ideales de belleza y la importancia de emprender con una visión transformadora.
Acompáñanos el próximo Jueves 29 de Octubre a las 6:30pm y aprendamos juntos como generar formas más amables e incluyentes de consumo.
