A message from Mario
"I'd love to address the current reality of what's happening in the world and the role that we as entrepreneurs have, meaning that it's on us to be the catalysts of human advancement. I think this will be a very powerful focus point because we can talk about how entrepreneurs can connect with a bigger mission and use that to create sustainable success on a whole new level."
We're going to dive into a workshop style interview where Mario shares his experience in difficult circumstances and how we can find the catalyst of our own success. Here's a hint: it's in YOU! So much of what Mario brings to the table is helping growth seekers realize that the power of change is within themselves. Join us for a talk that will be game-changing.
What you will learn:
1. How meditation and self-reflection can be your first (and most effective) tool for finding focus.
2. What areas in your life deserve your focus and which ones do not.
3. Clarifying your purpose and aligning it with your work to achieve success.
Startup Grind is one of the biggest communities of entrepreneurs. Our mission is to help every entrepreneur in the world. We do so by hosting a monthly recurring event to inspire, educate, and connect entrepreneurs.

The Power In Me

A life without purpose
In 2008 I had graduated from high school and was the first in my immediate family to pursue a higher education. With so many options available, I had absolutely no clue what to do with my life. So, I turned to the only reliable source of inspiration, yep, you guessed it… Hollywood.
Traveling the world, with beautiful ladies surrounding you and being able to control one of mankind’s greatest inventions was music to my ears! Inspired by the movie Catch Me If You Can, I set out to becoming a pilot for Lufthansa.
It took me a year of preparation after finally having made it! Proud as a prince, I thought I had reached the ultimate success and figured it all out.
I could not have been more wrong…
During the first year of my training, I realised that I had completely and utterly failed in my career choice – day 1 was the beginning of my soon-to-be nightmare.
Even though, deep down I knew this career path wasn’t for me, I decided to keep pushing and trying hard. Fast forward 1 year later and I find myself significantly out of shape, unhappy, depressed and really angry with the world (because blaming was easy). On top of that, I had developed a slipped disc in my back, which caused me incredible pain, insomnia and the physical flexibility of a 90-year old.
In short, I was a complete mess, ready to end my life…
A bumpy road
I started reading books about the body, mind and spirit. I studied affirmations, the law of attraction, psychology, motivation and enrolled in self-development seminars. Slowly but surely life no longer felt like it was happening against me but for me. I developed balance and peace of mind. More and more I began enjoying simple things like reading books (which I used to hate), being in nature, meditating and having meaningful conversations with people. Every time I was faced with failure the energy and time it took to heal, shortened. I was able to recover much faster and every time I did, I came back stronger, wiser and more resourceful.
A life without limits
After my time at Lufthansa I decided to study fashion management in Berlin, which was the beginning of a crazy professional growth journey. I went from partner to intern twice after only 3 months. First in Berlin, where I worked for a luxury marketing consulting company and helped start up Uber in the German capital. Second in NYC at custom shoe company Awl & Sundry. I took over the role as COO when I settled in the Big Apple in 2016 and established the new manufactory in Italy (formerly China), facilitated huge deals with Super Bowl Champions and award winning TV shows such as The Blacklist. All while building my coaching and speaking company The Power in You that is now operating in NYC, Berlin and Cape Town.
Thank you for reading my story and being here.
Together, we can achieve the unimaginable and I can’t wait to connect with you!
Peace & Love,
P.S.: Say hi to me on Instagram @mario.lanzarotti

Four years ago, Matthew Armstrong and his wife moved into a lower income neighborhood in the city to help build relationships and find practical ways to serve the community. Armstrong, who moved to the Capital Region to help found Antioch Community Church, saw how overgrown lots and blighted properties were not only dragging down property values, but the morale of the neighborhood as well. He began mowing yards around his neighborhood to help and collaborated with Jacob Jolibois, former principal and director of digital at MESH, in early 2018 to see whether they could launch a service. The duo, who met through church, was impressed by the gig economy—the idea they could hire people who needed flexible work hours and still help fix blighted properties. Last September, they decided to pull the trigger and pursue an on-demand lawn care app, where customers could hire mowers from a smartphone. They officially launched the company in January, and in April—exactly 13 months to the day of Armstrong’s initial idea—Block Lawncare cut its first yard.

Chris believes that B2B technology today parallels the early transportation industry in the late 1800's and early 1900's. It wasn't until the creation of the assembly line and the low cost automobile that we as a society could achieve efficient interstate travel and safety. Today there are competing technology platforms and concepts (Early automobiles, Bicycles, horse and buggies) struggling to solve specific processes leaving disjointed and disconnected methodologies of "work". Microsoft's 100% market-share and file stroage structure is also handicapping efficiency and collaboration. Today almost every process ends in a file created, attached, and then "fired over the fence" with email in hopes of receipt and returned action.
In stark contrast, we now see with the creation of Electronic Medical records (a pure data eco system under government mandate) Microsoft has no market share, and the industry now offers doctor/patient portal experiences instead of email, and shared records across providers creating enormous amounts of visibility, security, and efficiency. This concept created the blueprint for the next generation of B2B collaboration: Portals, Data, and a Network!
Omnidek was created to be the second mover to Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Pdf's, SharePoint, Folders, etc) where companies can dynamically create their own Intranet/Extranet Portal for managing their unique processes for any industry, and then allowing customers and vendors to come into their portal and participate in collaborative and secure work processes such as approvals, data collection and secure signatures. We call this #DoWorkTogether.
Omnidek's network architecture (just like facebook) allows for overlapping of relationships to scale to function similarly to social platforms. Rather than a comment on your picture, it's a comment on a payment application or request for signature. To add even more significance, your Omnidek profile serves as your BlockChain wallet and creates a secure and verified "work credit score" sourced from your actual work product we call "Work Tokens". We believe Microsoft was the first mover, but Omnidek is the next. A global business network, built for Blockchain and the future.
