We all rely on quality nutrition, and Blockchain offers viable solutions to trace produce and food products from the source to the consumer assuring transparency and quality. After a our recent successful blockchain event, Startup Grind teams up with AngelHack to bring you another applied blockchain project that is relevant for everybody from tech backgrounds to policy makers to food enthusiasts.

About this event

Shi Feng is project director for the Bubuji initiative at OpenTrust, a subsidiary of ZhongAn Technology and ZhongAn Insurance, the largest online insurance company in China. Bubuji combines blockchain and IoT technology to track and raise chickens. Shi Feng previously worked at blockchain asset exchange OKEX, where he was involved in designing OKLink, a platform that uses blockchain to provide international remittance services. He holds a BA from Peking University, where he earned a dual degree in mechanics and economics.

Alicia is the founder of Cultivati Inc., where she does research related to how companies are using blockchain in food supply chains, consults with companies that are developing and implementing initiatives that use blockchain to address supply chain challenges, and speaks at events to help people understand how blockchain is enabling change. She believes that everyone in the world should have access to safe, quality food.
