We are excited to present our special event for this month, a fireside chat with Neelam Jain, the Founder & CEO of PeriFerry, Forbes 30U30, where we'll be talking about entrepreneurship and diversity and inclusion in the workplace along with her insights on building a sustainable employment model for the lgbtq+ community.
In this fireside chat with Neelam Jain, we'll be talking about the skills that a Founder & CEO needs to develop and manage a successful startup. We will be concentrating on how to build a self-sustainable model to create meaningful employment opportunities for trans persons. We will also be having a detailed discussion about the transgender community, Diversity & Inclusion in the workplace, and how we can bring the change.
Speaker Bio:
Neelam is the young and dynamic 27-year-old social entrepreneur; founder of PeriFerry. She started the first-ever social enterprise in the country solely dedicated to improving the socio-economic status of the transgender community and foster a culture of inclusion in the workspace. Her first source of inspiration to build LGBTQ+ inclusive workplaces came through her employer. She quit her job to pursue PeriFerry. Neelam herself is also a TEDx speaker, Forbes 30 under 30 2021 & LinkedIn's top Influencer 2021.

PeriFerry is a mission-driven organization that works on complicated issues at the grassroots level and is strongly connected to the community. It not only assists businesses in hiring trustworthy employees, but also fosters a culture of inclusivity, acceptance, and empathy for the LGBTQI+ community.
PeriFerry aspires to have a positive impact on India's vast one-crore trans population by assisting in the creation of sustainable and inclusive livelihoods for them. PeriFerry has successfully sensitized over 22,000 corporate India employees and has established jobs for over 180 transgender people. From CII - India's most creative startup in 2019 to JITO London Startup of the Year in 2018 to the National Commission of Minorities awarding PeriFerry for their inclusion efforts in 2021, the startup has received numerous accolades.
