Kathleen Hamrick is the Director of the UAB iLab at Innovation Depot and a 1 Million Cups Birmingham Organizer. She also serves as a contributor for Tech.Co, freelance blogger with AL.com, and is a member of the TEDxBirmingham organizing committee in addition to being a shareholder with a cancer diagnostics company, Blondin Bioscience.
Kathleen Hamrick is the Director of the UAB iLab at Innovation Depot and a 1 Million Cups Birmingham Organizer. She is a shareholder with a cancer molecular diagnostics company, Blondin Bioscience, and has contributed to successful outcomes for several early-stage startups.
As Director of iLab, Kathleen has played an integral role in the sourcing of seed investment for student-led startups and in the implementation of for-credit experiential programs for students interested in entrepreneurship and innovation. She has been instrumental in successful grant and award submissions for Innovation Depot. Hamrick serves also as a content contributor for Tech.Co and freelance blogger with AL.com and is a member of TEDxBirmingham's organizing committee.
Kathleen attended the Savannah College of Art and Design before attending the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she holds a Certificate in Technology and Entrepreneurship and is a 2017 Candidate for MBA. Hamrick holds a Certificate in Advance Master Negotiation from Harvard Law School's Program on Negotiation Executive Education Program.
In her spare time, Kathleen is a sponsored expedition athlete and flies single-engine prop planes.
